This versatile open-front cardigan has a beautiful drape and plenty of options, including a hood, to allow it to be made and worn year round. Use lighter fabrics and shorter sleeves for the warm summer months and longer sleeves and warmer fabrics for the cold winter months. Not only is it stylish, but comfortable and practical with 2 length options, 5 sleeve options and an optional integrated hood. It makes a great summer swim cover or fall and winter sweater. This pattern includes 19 girls sizes, from Newborn-18 Tween.

This pattern is includes an ebook .pdf file with 13 pages of directions and 52 professional digitized pages that you assemble to make the full sizes pieces. (8-30 pages per view and includes a print chart so you only print what you need).

~60”+ wide PRE-WASHED Knit fabric with good drape.
~1/3 yard of clear elastic, 1/4” twill tape or 1/4” ribbon to reinforce shoulder seams.
~Washable Marker (or other tracing tool)
~Scissors, Thread (regular for the top & Maxi Lock Stretch in the bottom), Pins
~Sewing machine, Ball point machine needle OPTIONAL: Twin Needle for hem
~Iron , Hem Gauge or ruler to measure hems
~Printer, Paper & Tape (for pattern pieces)
~Roll of tracing paper, freezer paper, parchment paper or cheap interfacing & pen

Thankfully I have 2 daughters in different sizes, so I made 3 cardis for them right away. They fit wonderfully!
I still need to perfect the neckline finishing though…

Love this pattern, so easy to use and so versatile. Love that it has such an inclusive size range, I have made one for all of my girls and my nieces too. Super cute, easy to follow instructions, and cute finished product!
