The Freestyle Pants, Shorts and Capris are a versatile take on the 90’s harem pant. These bottoms are comfortable, practical and trendy all at the same time. With all the options available, one can simply use different fabric and/or styling to create bottoms that are classic, bohemian or urban. They are perfect for your free spirit, little hipster or fashionista. The drop crotch is perfect for cloth diapers on toddlers and the straight waistband and regular hem pant work for hipster boys too. This pattern offers 3 length options, 2 front waistbands, 3 hem options and is available in 19 children’s sizes, newborn-18 tween.

I had the privilege of testing this pattern. I made a pair for my 12 year old daughter. She is always willing to wear things I make for her, once, for pictures. The item usually disappears in her room after that, though. But these pants? They’ve been worn repeatedly. She wears them on days she has volleyball practice, or to the movies, or just around the house. That is the ultimate test of a pattern, isn’t it? For a girl to repeatedly pick the completed garment as part of her Outfit Of The Day. The Freestyle Harem Pants are fantastic and well worth the time it takes to sew them up.

I had the pleasure of being a tester of this pattern. since then my daughters now owns 6 pairs since it’s the perfect pattern to use for upcycling into pants. i love the options to mix a d match the fabric combos of the legs. best part is that this sizing also accommodates ny size 🙂 2 in 1 pattern x
