When I first ordered this lovely grey floral, I thought it would make a fabulous California Dress. While waiting for it’s arrival, however, I discovered the comfort of ‘Get Moving’ Leggings and decided I needed more tunics in my life. Also, it finally got cold enough here to require long sleeves.
So, I compromised my original plan with a mash-up (tutorial can be found here) of the California Dress with the long sleeves from the Four Seasons Cardigan. I cut my hem about 7 inches longer than the peplum hem line and then straightened the a-line of the skirt just a bit for a closer fit around my bottom. I love how it looks with my black ‘Get Moving’ Leggings!
I can’t wait to whip up some more leggings and tunics! They pair up for the most comfortable outfit for winter. Now to figure out what to do with my leftover floral (since I was planning a dress and made a tunic) … my oldest daughter seems to think she’s going to talk me into using it for her! LOL

That’s a very lovely floral pattern; tunics are also my typical wardrobe staple because it is just so comfy to wear and run around after my toddler when outdoors!

Yes! Tunics are fabulous for chasing kids cause I don’t have to worry about bending over! 😉
