This is the first month & first challenge of my 12 Month Sewing Challenge! You can either just follow along or to participate simply upload pictures of your finished projects to the Everything Your Mama Made & More! 12 Months of Sewing Flickr Group. You are more then weclome to post pictures after the end of the month, but to qualify for a chance to win all entries must be uploaded to Flickr by the 1st day of the next month… in this case FEB 1ST 2011. At the end of each months challenge I will have a group of ladies pick out a top ten of their favorites that I will post here and then I will let my blog readers vote for their favorite & the winner! If you have a blog of your own that you shared the details of your project on make sure to include the direct link to the post in the comment on your flickr photo so people can check it out. YOU MAY ENTER MORE THEN ONE ITEM.
JANUARY 2011 12 MONTH SEWING CHALLENGE THEME~~~ SOMETHING FOR YOU!
So with the holiday’s & gift giving behind us it’s time to think about US again, so for January’s challenge all you have to do is simply make something for yourself 
. It is a very general theme & I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.
PRIZE~~~ 1 yard of random fabric from my personal stash! The fabric will be a random woven fabric that I pick out (cotton or cotton poly blend) but the winner can choose preference from either kids fabric (boy or girl you choose) or adult (this could be anything except kid prints). I know it’s not a huge prize, but something to get you motivated to sew this month . The winning prize will ship free to the US & Canada. If you are out of those countries you are welcome to participate but you will need to pay for shipping over the first $2.50 US.
So get sewing & I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with! Don’t forget to check back after the 1st to see the finalists & vote, and to check out the Flickr gallery for inspiration! I finished my first item this month last night & will be posting it soon
