As you know I have 2.5 year old ID twin girls. One of the first things I did when I found out I was expecting twins was join my local twins/multiples club! They are were a HUGE support & besides stuff like their big sister program they arranged to have frozen meals to be brought to all their members as well as they have maternity & preemie lending closets for memebers to borrow those pricey items that you only need for a few months. I don’t know what I would do without them!
Anyways in order to fund all these programs they have semi-annual clothing & equipement sales that serve a few different purposes.
1.) Allow memebers to sell all their outgrown stuff so they can buy bigger/older kid stuff! (Members keep 50-80% depending if they work the sale or not)
2.) Allow members to purchase matching sets, gear & multiples of items that you normally can’t find used
3.) Raise money for the club! The club gets 20-50% of the sales which pays for the cost of hosting the event as well as raises money for the club programs, outreach projects & scholarships.
My club, SNOMOMS, is having their sale this weekend, it opens to the public at 8:30 & you will find just about anything you could need during pregnancy & for kids from preemies on up! If you are in the Seattle area or know someone who is that might be interested please spread the word!

SNOMOMS organizes two clothing & equipment sales each year; one takes place in the spring and one takes place in the fall. A portion of all proceeds go directly to the club to help support our outreach programs and club activities. All club members can take part in selling at the sale & shopping opens to the PUBLIC at 8:30am!
Everything is extremely organized & sorted to signs to help lead the way, and all clothing is hung and sorted by size and sex. The sale has become so popular that we have secured a new location with twice the floor space! The inventory varies from sale to sale as well as the pricing because members price their own stuff.
- Clothes & Shoes — mostly preemies to 5T but larger sizes as well!
- Cribs, changing tables, bassinets
- Car seats, single & double strollers (sometimes triples), toddler seats
- High chairs for your baby, potty chairs, swings
- Exersaucers, play gyms, carriers
- Rattles, dolls, games, puzzles, books
- Videos, DVDs, LOTS of toys
- Nursery decorations, crib bedding
- Maternity clothing, nursing equipment
- Outdoor toys, play equipment
- Lots of multiples targeted baby & toddler gear
