Though many people start sewing to try to save money… they find out if you want the cute stuff, it’s not a cheap hobby! I don’t have access to very much fabric where I live, so like many, I order online. Well seeing that nice stuff priority mail box waiting on the porch is like Christmas all over again for most sewing mamas! What did I get this time?
Well lets see… the box was from co-op orders from the last few months… it included 4 yards of purple Ooga Booga knit to match the pink I got a few months ago as well as 4 yards of owls on knit. Then there is the 3 prints with 4 yards total of Paula Prass Summer Soiree quilting cotton… can you tell I have a thing for zebra print? These will be perfect accents for dresses for the twins! Finally I got 2 Amy Butler patterns I have been itching to try. The Cabo Halter will have to wait ’til the spring, but I plan on whipping up on of the Birdie Sling bags as soon as the SM stash game starts on the first!
The best part? Not only was there a yummy stuffed box on my porch, but the fall women’s Ottobre was sitting in the mailbox!!! There are some super cute things in there I just can’t wait to try 🙂 Now that I got the house clean I need to get my sewing room straighted up so I can be ready to start sewing like mad on the 1st!
Of course I won’t go with out sharing a pic 🙂

Cute stuff! I got my mag this weekend, too. I love the brown outfit the cover model is wearing. I think I need to make that!

Hi Kymy
I was wondering what co-ops you use? I’m a grandma who loves sewing for her grandchildren. Also the Amy Butler patterns caught my eye….I love her stuff. Could you tell me alittle about these co-ops?
