So I have gotten my furniture & machines into my new sewing room… though not much else. But last night I decided to enjoy being able to USE my machines for the first time in a while. Anyways I had a couple crayon rolls that my moms neighbor had ordered & decided I would whip those out. I posted about them last night, but didn’t post the funny story that went with them!
So when I am mostly finished, just have top stitching left, Zander (4yr old) comes into my sewing room…
Zander: Mom, whatcha doin’?
Me: Making some crayon rolls.
Zander: Oh, we can put our crayons in them, that will be nice!
Me: You already have a Thomas one I made for you.
Zander: But we could use more.
Me: No these ones are for someone else who is paying mommy to make them for their little girls.
Zander: But why?
Me: Because they don’t know how to make them.
Zander: But their mommy can sew them for them!
Me: (well chuckling) Sweety, not all mommy’s can sew.
Zander: (looking very puzzled) NO!
Me: Yes, it’s true!
Zander: Mommy that is just silly, silly goose!
He then he turned and walked out of the room.
Only out of the mouth of a sewing mama’s kiddo! 🙂

Oh, that is so funny! Yeah, I’m sure my kids would be shocked…just SHOCKED… that all mommy’s don’t sew. 😉
